"Zurück in die Zukunft" (1985) ist heute ein Klassiker... Die Effekte können sich nach wie vor sehen lassen und die Songs zum Film von Huey Lewis & The News ("The Power of Love", "Back in Time") kennt heute jeder...
Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) ist alles andere als happy, denn die Schule stinkt ihm und seine Eltern gehen ihm gehörig auf die Nerven. Sein einziger Trost ist der exzentrische Wissenschaftler Dr. Brown (Christopher Lloyd) der einen DeLorean-Sportwagen in einem atomgetriebene Zeitmaschine umgebaut hat. Marty kann es kaum glauben. Selbst am Steuer wird er schnell eines Besseren belehrt. Ehe er sich versieht, wird er 30 Jahre in der Zeit zurückgeworfen. Man schreibt das Jahr 1955. Nachdem er die Zeitmaschine versteckt hat, läuft Marty durch die Straßen seiner Heimatstadt. Er trifft Lorraine Baines und George McFly - zwei Teenager, die eines Tages seine Eltern sein werden. Zu allem Übel verliebt sich seine zukünftige Mutter, die hübsche Lorraine (Lea Thompson), in ihn. Nun hat er eine ganze Menge Probleme zu lösen, bevor er wieder zurück in die Zukunft aufbrechen kann...
"Zurück in die Zukunft II" (1989)... Noch bevor Marty sich von seinem ersten Zeitreise-Abenteuer erholen kann, taucht Doc Brown mit dem DeLorean auf. Er kommt direkt aus dem Jahr 2015 und bringt schlechte Nachrichten: Martys Kinder sind in Gefahr. Also nichts wie hin und ein wenig am Rad der Geschichte gedreht - doch sein Eingreifen in der Zukunft hat schlimme Folgen auf die Gegenwart. Martys ewiger Widersacher Biff ist zum einflußreichsten Mann von Hill Valley aufgestiegen. Das friedliche Städtchen ist nicht wiederzuerkennen. Da hilft nur eines: Marty und Doc Brown müssen wieder zurück in die Vergangenheit, den "Fehler" suchen und den Schaden beheben. Doch das Spiel mit Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft birgt einige Tücken...
"Zurück in die Zukunft III" (1990)... Marty McFly und Doc Emmet Brown sind wieder unterwegs durch die Zeit. Diesmal führt ihre unglaubliche Reise in den Wilden Westen des Jahres 1885, in das verschlafene Gangsternest Hill Valley. Dort entdeckt Marty den Grabstein von Doc Emmet und stellt entsetzt fest, daß 1885 das Todesjahr des Professors ist. Wenn sein Freund am Leben bleiben soll, muß er ihn rechtzeitig zurück in die Zukunft katapultieren. Akuter Kraftstoffmangel, feindliche Indianer und die rauhen Sitten des Wilden Westens machen Docs Rettung zu einem schweren Stück Arbeit...
"Zurück in die Zukunft 4" !?!
Christopher "Doc Brown" Lloyd würde gerne nochmal ran... Michael J. Fox würde auch gerne in die Rolle des Doc schlüpfen... Möglicherweise wird die Serie auch ohne die alten Darsteller wiederbelebt... Abwarten... *g*

Moviehole meldet... "Back to the Future" star Christopher Lloyd is reprising his iconic role as Doc Brown... for a music video.
Llloyd plays a part in a new video from Universal Motown recording artist O’neal McKnight Featuring Greg Nice, according to BTTF.com. Says the site, "McKnight reportedly is a huge Back to the Future fan and DeLorean enthusiast, insisting on using the time travel classic in his latest video."
In the video for ‘Check Your Coat’, a coat-check clerk, played by McKnight, encounters ‘Doc Brown’ and the DeLorean time machine. The duo leap into the past and future, giving McKnight a glimpse into his life and relationship with a beautiful lady whom he meets while at the dance club.
Though there have been many rumours over the years suggesting a fourth ‘’Back to the Future’’ film was on the cards - I can’t imagine Michael J.Fox would even be well enough to do one - the films producers have debunked each and every rumour confirming that they’ve no plans to extend the franchise.

Moviehole meldet... There have been rumours of a "Back to the Future 4" for years - one had Sarah Michelle Gellar linked to the project, playing a youthful scientist, another had Michael J.Fox being downgraded to cameo player - but rumours being rumours, they were burnt quicker than mulleted-hair near a wall heater.
In an interview with BTTF.com (for their forthcoming DVD "Looking back at the Future"), Christopher Lloyd says he’d be keen to wear the frizzy locks of Doc Brown again - and if they could pull it off, ‘Great Scott’ he’d be there.
"I think it’d be a wonderful thing if it could be pulled off," Lloyd professes in the documentary. "I don’t know what the angle might be or whatever, but if Bob Gale wants to write another one and Bob Zemeckis gets excited to do it, anything could happen."
In 1999, Amblin commissioned several writers to pen treatments for a potential "Back to the Future 4", but the project was ultimately shelved.

Cinematical meldet... Remember that Back to the Future 4 rumor from last week? Moviehole says The Guardian (who we got our take on it from) misinterpreted a section from a Moviehole interview with BttF''s Michael J. Fox. Fox, they say, was speaking very theoretically, and many outlets failed to requote his clearly worded skepticism. Here's the direct quote:
"I think by the time we finished two and three we were all so damn tired and then Bob [Zemeckis] went on to do Forest Gump and I went on to do some television work and some other things, you know, I started my own show, Spin City. And now the only way it would work would be if I played Doc, I’m 44 years old now and I’m not interested in running around on skateboards! I think after 1,2 and 3 we all kind of felt we had done it. And I think if now they did it again they would do it with a younger cast and just do a different realisation of it, which would be fun and I’m happy to watch it."
Now, don't lose hope just yet: you know those Direct-to-DVD sequels that keep popping up? Like Carlito's Way: Rise to Power, and American Pie: Band Camp? Both of those projects are the product of a new division at Universal called Universal DVD Originals, designed specifically to crank out DVD-only sequels to popular catalog titles. The 'hole is trying to get us all excited because USHE President Craig Kornblau sent an exclamation-point heavy email to a Back to the Future fansite, confirming that the division is "looking at" making a Future DVD sequel. Which, I guess, is great news ... except for the fact that straight-to-DVD sequels are almost generally crap.

DH meldet... Michael J Fox has revealed that he's in talks to do another "Back To The Future" movie according to Moviehole.
However, Fox has a condition that his character has to have aged as much as he has in real life. The "Spin City" actor first starred as Marty McFly in 1985 followed by subsequent outings in 1989 and 1990. He admits that he's currently in negotiations for a final film in the series but wants to take over Christopher Lloyd's eccentric scientist character, Doc.

Sci Fi Wire zitiert Steven Spielberg...
Steven Spielberg, whose film A.I. Artificial Intelligence received five Saturn Awards on June 10, told SCI FI Wire that aside from the next installment in the Indiana Jones series, he does not plan to produce sequels to many of his most popular films. "There'll never be another Back to the Future... There'll never be another E.T. [the Extra-Terrestrial]. I won't do another Close Encounters [of the Third Kind]." [...]
Spielberg pledged that he would be offering plenty in the way of original SF films in the future to please fans who might be hoping for an E.T. 2. "The great thing about science fiction is it celebrates the imagination. Science fiction is great for originals. So hopefully I'll be producing a lot of original sci-fi for you to make up for the sequels I'm not making."
